sometimes, it’s enough and we don’t ask why because it just is. in the earliest hours of the morning, when the sun is still rising, you do not question the way the light pours over the top of the hills and finds its way to your house, pushing through your curtains and bathing everything in an intangible gold that renders you helpless, unable to hide any longer. you do not question these things because it is enough to know that the sun rises in the morning, and when it does there is light. it is enough to know that you can see, because it just is.
